Chambers Gully, Nature trail in Cleland National Park, South Australia.
Chambers Gully is a walking trail in Cleland National Park that forms a circuit of about 9.5 kilometers through native bushland. The route climbs gradually, passing through different vegetation zones with some steeper sections and quieter forest areas.
The route shows signs of early settlement including remains of an old rifle range and stone chimneys from past structures. These remnants remind visitors of the time when people used the hills for various activities.
The path incorporates a manna gum nursery that supplies branches to feed koalas at the Cleland Wildlife Park, supporting local wildlife conservation.
The walk starts from a carpark on Waterfall Gully Road and is best done in a clockwise direction. Wear good footwear as some sections are rocky and conditions vary with the season.
Markers at trail junctions help walkers find their way and stay safe in the bushland. These identification signs are subtle but important for finding your way back to the start.
