First Church of Christ, Scientist

The First Church of Christ, Scientist is located at the intersection of South Alvarado Street and Pico Boulevard in the Alvarado Terrace Historic District. The building was originally designed for Christian Scientists and later served multiple faith communities within its walls. Over time, Jewish congregants, Peoples Temple members, and Spanish-speaking Adventists all gathered here for worship and community activities.
