Timberline Twister

Timberline Twister is a steel roller coaster located at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park. The ride features three cars that transport passengers up a chain lift hill before descending through its track course.

The ride opened in 1983 when Camp Snoopy was established at the park. It operated for four decades before closing in 2023.

The ride featured Peanuts characters starting in 2014, bringing the famous cartoon world of Charles M. Schulz to life for younger visitors. This connection gave children a familiar theme to recognize while they experienced the thrill.

The ride lasts about one minute and features no inversions, making it accessible for younger or less experienced riders. The Camp Snoopy area is easy to reach within the park, and wait times are typically much shorter than for larger attractions.

The ride used a manual hand brake system operated by staff to stop the train at the end of each cycle. This simple control method was characteristic of older kiddie attractions and stood apart from today's automated safety systems.
