Anaheim Carnegie Library, Carnegie library and museum in Anaheim, United States.
The Anaheim Carnegie Library is a two-story building made of pressed brick with concrete elements located at South Anaheim Boulevard. The interior features Oregon pine finishes and a tile roof in Neoclassical style.
Architect John C. Austin designed this structure in 1908 following a donation from Andrew Carnegie. The construction became part of the nationwide movement to establish free public libraries across America.
The building now houses exhibitions about local history as part of MUZEO. It continues to serve as a place where visitors learn about Anaheim's past and community.
You can visit the building and get information in person or by calling ahead. Staff members can help with event details and questions about the building's history.
This is the only preserved Carnegie library remaining in Orange County, while similar buildings in nearby communities no longer exist. This rarity makes it a special survivor from this historical movement.
