Phoenix Financial Center is a modern office complex in Midtown Phoenix with a 19-story tower flanked by two circular rotunda buildings. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows line the Central Avenue side, and the tops of each dome feature stained glass stars that catch the light throughout the day.

Ground was broken in September 1963 for the Financial Corporation of Arizona, and the complex was dedicated on September 28, 1964. The tower originally had 10 stories; nine more were added in 1972, when the building became headquarters for Western Savings and Loan. A planned mirror-image second tower on the north side was never built.

Locals call the tower the "Punchcard Building" because its southeastern facade resembles a computer punch card. The architect was Wenceslaus Sarmiento, and the complex appears in the 2000 film "What Planet Are You From?" as the main character's workplace.

The complex is not open for public tours; the tower and rotundas are working office buildings, so view them from Osborn and Central Avenues. The nearest METRO Light Rail stop is Park Central station, where displays recount the history of the Phoenix Financial Center and neighbouring buildings. The site once reserved for a mirrored second tower is now a visitor parking lot.

The complex is said to hold a "fallout-proof" time capsule meant to be opened in 2012, but it has never been found. The tower also appears as the workplace of Garry Shandling's character in the 2000 film What Planet Are You From?
