The Templo del Calvario exhibits Gothic Revival architecture with a Latin cross layout and curved apse containing multiple dedicated altars.
Initially constructed in the 17th century, the temple underwent substantial modifications in the 19th century that transformed its facade into Gothic Revival style.
The temple preserves a Renaissance-era wooden carving depicting the descent of Christ, originally belonging to the Santo Domingo Church collection.
Located on Avenida Julian Grajales in the San Miguel district, the temple maintains regular services under the administration of Tuxtla Gutierrez Archdiocese.
The northwest facade features a lateral entrance with cushioned framework and phytomorphic relief decoration alongside a biforate window.
