Parque del Bicentenario

The park spans 91 hectares across San Salvador and Antiguo Cuscatlán municipalities, featuring extensive walking trails and cycling paths through natural forest areas.

The park opened on November 5, 2011, marking the bicentennial celebration of the First Independence Movement of Central America from Spanish rule.

The park's amphitheater hosts regular community events and educational programs, promoting environmental awareness and local cultural activities throughout the year.

Visitors can access the park through two main entrances on Jerusalem Avenue and La Mascota Street, with operating hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily.

The protected area houses 118 bird species, 26 mammal species, and 536 plant species, including 411 native varieties within its boundaries.
