Torre Terra Alta, Residential tower in Colonia Escalon, San Salvador, El Salvador

Torre Terra Alta is a 20-level residential tower on Paseo General Escalón #5343 in Colonia Escalón, San Salvador, reaching 90 metres. Sixteen levels hold 82 apartments, six per floor in two wings, above four parking levels; four panoramic elevators and two emergency stairwells serve them. Semi-circular structures at both ends are clad in reinforced green glass.

The project was designed by Salvadoran architect Roberto Antonio Rivera Abastado and began in mid-October 2008, backed by an investment of about $25 million. It was built by the Salvadoran real estate firm Grupo Arquero on Paseo General Escalón in Colonia Escalón, part of a wave of apartment towers answering housing demand in the area.

The building stands out in the neighborhood with its distinctive curved ends wrapped in green glass, making it easily recognizable in the skyline. This design has turned it into a local landmark that shapes how residents and visitors perceive the area.

The tower is located in a well-connected residential area with good accessibility, and the extensive parking facilities make vehicle access straightforward. Keep in mind this is a private residential complex, so access to shared facilities or the building itself may be restricted to residents and authorized guests.
