The Museo de Arte de El Salvador spans 2,275 square meters with five exhibition halls designed by architect Salvador Choussy Rusconi.
The museum opened its doors on May 22, 2003, and expanded in 2007 with the addition of the Ernesto Álvarez Córdova multipurpose room.
The permanent collection features Salvadoran art through different periods, with three halls dedicated to national artworks and two for temporary exhibitions.
The museum operates Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with differentiated admission fees for locals and international visitors.
Every Monday between March and October, the museum presents classical and academic musical performances through its Lunes Musical program.
