Nauyaca Waterfalls, Natural waterfall reserve in San José Province, Costa Rica
The Nauyaca Waterfalls feature two cascades measuring forty-five and twenty meters high, forming a natural pool of one thousand square meters.
The local family Don Lulo established the first tourism operations at Nauyaca Waterfalls, transforming the natural site into an accessible destination.
The waterfall management promotes environmental preservation through guided experiences that educate visitors about Costa Rican rainforest ecosystems.
Visitors can access the falls through three options: a four-kilometer hiking trail, horseback riding tours at 85 USD, or 4x4 truck transport.
The lower waterfall creates a six-meter-deep swimming pool surrounded by an eighty-meter-wide canyon with additional natural basins.
