Arlington Assembly is a major General Motors facility in Texas specializing in the production of full-size SUVs and trucks. The plant spans approximately 6 million square feet on 250 acres and employs more than 5,400 workers who assemble vehicles like the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade.
Operations began in January 1954, and the plant has grown into one of General Motors' largest manufacturing facilities. It initially built various models including the Pontiac Chieftain and Chevrolet Bel Air before shifting focus to full-size SUVs in recent decades.
