The Hindu Temple of Florida spans 14,573 square feet and rises 70 feet high, featuring a gateway tower crafted by artists from Chennai, India.
Founded in 1983 by local Hindu residents, the temple construction began in 1994 and required additional six years to complete exterior carvings and sculptures.
The temple holds multiple festivals including Shivaratri, Vaikunda Ekadasi, Ganesha Chaturthi, Navaratri, Janmashtami, and Deepavali throughout the year.
Located ten miles north of Tampa International Airport, the temple offers regular worship services, educational programs, and maintains a vegetarian kitchen.
The rajagopuram tower incorporates specific architectural elements designed by Muthiah Sthapathi, reflecting traditional South Indian temple construction methods.
