Laura Street Trio, Historic architectural ensemble in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, US
The Laura Street Trio includes three adjacent buildings: the Florida Life Building, Bisbee Building, and Old Florida National Bank, forming a distinct corner in downtown Jacksonville.
Following the Great Fire of 1901, these buildings emerged between 1902 and 1912, marking Jacksonville's early 20th-century architectural and economic recovery period.
The Bisbee Building stands as the first reinforced concrete high-rise structure in the Southern United States, introducing Chicago-style architecture to the region.
The Southeast Group plans to transform these buildings into a Courtyard by Marriott hotel with an upscale restaurant in the former Marble Bank space.
The Florida Life Building earned recognition from the American Institute of Architects Florida Chapter, securing a place on their Florida Architecture: 100 Years list.
