Salt Creek Falls, Waterfall in Willamette National Forest, Oregon, US

Salt Creek Falls descends 286 feet into a deep canyon, making it the third highest plunge waterfall in Oregon after Multnomah and Watson Falls.

Frank Warner and Charles Tufti, a Molala Native American, documented the initial discovery of Salt Creek Falls during their expedition in March 1887.

The waterfall received its name from nearby salt springs that attracted local wildlife and served as natural gathering places for indigenous communities.

The observation site offers wheelchair access from the parking lot, while hiking trails lead to different viewpoints including the waterfall base.

The waterfall pool reaches a depth of 66 feet and maintains an average water flow of 250 cubic feet per second before the plunge.
