Camlin Hotel, Historic hotel in Downtown Seattle, United States
The Camlin Hotel stands fourteen stories tall at 1619 9th Avenue, displaying Tudor Revival architecture with decorative elements on its brick and stone facade.
Opened in 1926 with financing from Adolph Linden and Edmund Campbell, the building was initially designed as an apartment hotel containing 94 residential units.
The Cloud Room, created in 1942 on the penthouse level, served as a performance venue where Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley entertained hotel guests.
The hotel offers self-parking facilities at $35 per day, while maintaining an outdoor heated swimming pool and providing concierge services for guests.
In 1960, the hotel added 52 cabana units and placed a 40-foot yacht in its swimming pool, which later sank during an unexpected incident.
