Nexus, Luxury apartment building in downtown Seattle, US

Nexus is a 40-story residential tower in downtown Seattle containing 389 units with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame views of Lake Union and the city skyline. Each apartment is designed with contemporary finishes and located in a well-connected neighborhood.

Vancouver-based Burrard Group announced the 41-story tower in late 2015 as its first Seattle project, naming it Nexus for its design and its position between South Lake Union, Downtown and Capitol Hill. Burrard bought the quarter-block surface parking lot for $14.95 million in May 2016; construction was approved in December 2016 and a ceremonial groundbreaking followed on March 14, 2017. The first residents moved in in February 2020, after a temporary certificate of occupancy was issued in January 2020.

The name Nexus refers to the tower's design and its position between South Lake Union, Downtown Seattle and Capitol Hill. Residents share a rooftop lounge and view terrace with a private bar and restaurant, and the rotated boxes leave open-air terraces and amenity spaces between them.

Nexus stands at 1200 Howell Street in Denny Triangle, beside Interstate 5. Its podium holds retail space, and parking is in twelve stories of below- and above-ground garages with 316 stalls. The tower sits between South Lake Union, Downtown and Capitol Hill, so those districts are reached on foot or by short rides.

The building received the Gold Nugget Award in 2020 for Best Multi-Family Housing Community, recognizing its architectural quality. This award highlights the innovative design solutions that set it apart from other residential projects.
