McKenzie, Residential high-rise in Denny Triangle, Seattle, United States.
McKenzie is a residential high-rise with an elliptical shape and glass facade in the Denny Triangle neighborhood of Seattle. The tower rises about 40 floors and holds around 450 apartments, with parking available on site.
Work on McKenzie started in January 2016 and the building was completed in July 2018. It went up during a period of rapid residential growth in Denny Triangle, when the neighborhood was changing quickly.
The ground floor of McKenzie holds a restaurant that draws people from the neighborhood and beyond. Its street-facing presence makes the base of the building a natural stopping point along the block.
The entrance and ground-floor restaurant are easy to spot from the street, so orientation is straightforward on arrival. Those coming by car will find parking inside the building.
A fitness center sits on the 39th floor, placing an everyday activity at one of the highest residential vantage points in this part of Seattle. From that height, the view of the city takes on a scale that is rarely seen from inside a residential building.
