The SIFF Cinema Downtown, formerly the Seattle Cinerama, is a movie theater in Belltown with 560 seats and two screens. Its main screen is a deep curved 90-foot-long, 30-foot-high surface built from 2,000 louvered strips, stored in sections behind a smaller screen used for regular 70 mm and 35 mm screenings.

The theater opened in 1963 as Seattle's Martin Cinerama, retrofitted months later for 70 mm films. After decades as a second-run house, Paul Allen bought it in 1997 and reopened it in 1999 following a multimillion-dollar restoration. The Allen estate sold it to the Seattle International Film Festival in May 2023 for $4.5 million; it reopened on December 14, 2023 as SIFF Cinema Downtown because of trademark issues with the Cinerama name.

The theater shows contemporary blockbusters, independent films, and film festivals, playing an important role in Seattle's film culture. It draws cinema lovers from across the city who come for diverse movie selections.

The theater sits in Belltown, a short walk from the Westlake and Symphony light rail stations. The main floor holds 390 seats and the balcony 170, though only 546 tickets are usually sold. The deep curved screen is stored in sections behind a smaller screen, and a crew dismantles the smaller one for Cinerama and special-event shows.

The theater is one of only three cinemas worldwide equipped to show rare three-panel Cinerama films. This special projection capability makes it a distinctive venue for cinema enthusiasts wanting to experience this classic film technique.
