Meany Lodge is a small ski area with 32 downhill runs spread across its terrain. The slopes reach a vertical drop of 440 feet and are serviced by surface lift systems that move skiers up the mountain.
The lodge was established in 1928 and became the first ski area in Washington state. It was created through a donation from Edmond S. Meany to The Mountaineers organization.
The lodge is run entirely by volunteers who teach skiing and shape the community atmosphere. Regular visitors return year after year, creating a tight-knit group of people who share a love for winter sports.
Winter access requires arrival by SnowCat or snowmobile since roads are snow-covered. The lodge offers overnight packages that bundle accommodation in shared dormitories with meals and ski instruction together.
