Nevada Landing Hotel and Casino, casino hotel in Nevada, United States
Nevada Landing Hotel and Casino was a casino in Jean, Nevada, that opened in 1989 and resembled two riverboats. It featured 303 rooms, four restaurants, over 800 slot machines, and various table games such as blackjack and poker.
The hotel was founded in 1989 and changed ownership several times: from Gold Strike Resorts through Circus Circus Enterprises to Mandalay Resort Group and eventually to MGM Resorts International in 2004. It closed in 2007 after nearly 18 years of operation and was demolished in 2008.
The Nevada Landing was designed to resemble riverboats and attracted travelers heading to Las Vegas and surrounding areas. Its design and atmosphere reflected a specific era when such places along highways offered entertainment and hospitality for those passing through.
The property was located along Interstate 15 and was easily accessible for travelers. The facility offered various amenities including multiple restaurants and banquet halls where visitors could dine, play games, or hold events.
A distinctive feature was the property's iconic riverboat-style sign that stood beside the highway for years before being taken down in 2010. This sign became a landmark symbol of the location and remained standing long after the building itself was demolished.
