Baker Hot Springs, Thermal pools in Juab County, United States.
Baker Hot Springs consists of three concrete pools situated in the desert landscape of Juab County, Utah. The pools are fed by natural hot mineral springs and allow visitors to control water temperature by mixing hot and cold water sources on-site.
The site was previously known as Crater Springs and Abraham Hot Springs and emerged from Fumarole Butte, a shield volcano approximately one million years old. These thermal springs originated from the region's volcanic activity.
Local residents maintain the natural character of these thermal pools by keeping them accessible yet undeveloped, preserving their rustic state.
The site is located about 40 minutes north of Delta and reached via a 7.2-mile dirt road that standard vehicles can navigate without special equipment. No specialized gear or vehicle type is needed to access the springs.
The spring water surfaces at approximately 82 degrees Celsius and contains elevated levels of manganese and sulfur, creating distinct mineral deposits around the area. This chemical composition gives the water its particular character.
