LOHAS Park station, Metro station in Sai Kung District, Hong Kong.
LOHAS Park station is an underground metro station in the Sai Kung District of Hong Kong, serving the Tseung Kwan O line. It has a center platform positioned between two tracks, allowing passengers on both directions to board from the same level.
The station opened in July 2009 as part of the first phase of the Tseung Kwan O line extension, with construction starting in 2005. It was the first rail connection to reach this part of the district, which was being developed into a large residential area at the time.
The station takes its name from the adjacent residential development, where LOHAS stands for Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability. This name reflects the design philosophy of the neighborhood, which was planned around green living and a self-contained community.
The station has several entrances connected to the surrounding residential complex, so checking the exit closest to your destination beforehand saves time. Elevators are available at all entrances, making the platforms accessible without using stairs.
This station is the terminus of the Tseung Kwan O line, meaning all trains that arrive here turn around and head back, so there is no risk of accidentally going past it. The station sits directly beneath one of the largest private housing projects in Hong Kong, with residents able to reach the platforms without stepping outside.
