Clear Water Bay First Beach

Clear Water Bay First Beach is a bathing beach on the northern section of Clear Water Bay Peninsula with coarse sand and tree-lined surroundings. The shoreline extends at a moderate length and offers a quieter retreat from the busier coastal areas nearby.

The beach was developed as part of Clear Water Bay Country Park to preserve Hong Kong's natural coastal areas. In the 1990s, safety measures such as protective nets were introduced to protect swimmers.

The beach forms part of Clear Water Bay Country Park, reflecting Hong Kong's commitment to preserving natural coastal areas within its urban development.

The site offers barbecue areas, changing rooms, showers, and toilets so visitors are well equipped. Access requires descending a long staircase, which keeps the location relatively quiet.

Visitor numbers remain notably lower compared to the neighboring Second Beach. This quieter atmosphere comes from the longer walk down the staircase, offering some people a less crowded experience.
