Xinghai Park, Coastal park in Dalian, China.
Xinghai Park is a coastal park on the southwestern edge of Dalian featuring an 800-meter sandy beach bordered by cliffs on both sides. The grounds include pavilions, walking paths, and relaxation areas positioned right along the waterfront.
The park was established in 1909 by the South Manchuria Railway Company and became the largest seashore recreational space in Dalian. Its creation reflects the early development patterns of the city during that period.
The park displays traditional Chinese architecture through its pavilions connected by stone pathways, which shape how visitors move through and experience the grounds. You can see how people use these spaces for walks, photographs, and quiet time by the water.
You can reach the park by taking Metro Line 1 to Dalian Medical University Station or several bus routes. The pathways throughout are well laid out and easy to navigate once you arrive at the grounds.
Within the grounds is Sun Asia Ocean World, featuring an underwater tunnel and the first submarine pyramid structure ever built in China. These structures show creative approaches to blending water attractions with architectural design in a unique way.
