Dalian Eton Center

Dalian Eton Center is a large complex of four connected buildings in China's northeastern coastal city, with the main tower reaching 383 meters. The entire structure spans over 145,000 square meters and combines office spaces, shops, a hotel, and communal areas under one connected roof system.

Construction began in 2008 and finished in 2015, marking when Dalian shifted toward becoming a modern economic center. The project arose during a period when the city expanded its role as a major trading port in Asia.

The design reflects how contemporary Chinese cities blend work and living spaces with nature through layered green areas. These elements shape how people moving through the building experience the daily rhythm of the place.

The building is accessible to visitors and served by 30 elevators that move quickly through the many floors. The interior is easy to navigate since the four structures are clearly connected and signage is provided in multiple languages.

A 60-story atrium cuts through the entire structure, allowing daylight to reach deep inside the building and creating views across the city. This vertical void system creates an unusual experience while moving through the complex.
