Dalian People's Stadium, Multi-purpose stadium in Dalian, China

Dalian People's Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium in Olympic Square, Xigang District, Dalian, Liaoning. Built in 1976, it had a capacity of 55,843 and was the home ground of Dalian Shide. The stadium has been demolished, and the site is now occupied by the Olympia 66 shopping mall.

Dalian People's Stadium was built in 1925 during the Japanese occupation of Dalian, on the site of a village called Tanjiatun, and covered more than 100,000 square metres. It was the home ground of Dalian Shide, whose run included five unbeaten home seasons and seven league titles in ten years. The Dalian Fashion Festival was held there each year; its July 2009 edition was the last public event, and demolition of the main structure began on 26 October 2009, 84 years after construction.

The ground stood on the site of the former village of Tanjiatun and was the home of Dalian Shide. It hosted the Dalian International Fashion Festival every year, and the July 2009 edition was the last public event held there before demolition began on 26 October 2009.

The stadium no longer exists: it was demolished from 26 October 2009 and the site in Olympic Square, Xigang District, is now occupied by the Olympia 66 shopping mall. Visitors looking for the ground will find the mall instead, so plan around shopping and central-city transport rather than match-day access.
