Chin Mosque, Medieval mosque in Old City, Baku, Azerbaijan.
The Chin Mosque stands with an asymmetrical facade and features a classic portal entrance, incorporating traditional eastern architectural elements of medieval Baku.
Built in 1375 by Fazlullah Imam ibn Osman Shirvani, the mosque underwent notable restoration works in 1772 under the direction of Masood Ali.
The prayer hall contains a five-tiered stalactic mihrab within a rectangle, displaying the architectural patterns of the Shirvan-Absheron school.
The building now functions as a Numismatic Museum, exhibiting ancient coins and currency units from different periods of Azerbaijan's history.
The mosque's portal entrance represents one of the most traditional examples among the eastern-style portals found in medieval Baku's religious structures.
