Îles Ehotilés National Park, National park with islands in Sud-Comoé, Ivory Coast.

Îles Ehotilés National Park comprises six islands along the coast of Sud-Comoé with diverse landscapes. Mangrove forests line the shorelines while tropical woodlands cover the interior areas.

The protected area became official in 1974 following community recognition of the need to safeguard the islands. Its creation emerged from local efforts to preserve historical sites within the archipelago.

Balouate Island hosts a large fruit bat colony that holds meaning for the surrounding villages. The bats feature in local traditions and connect the islands to people living nearby.

Entry to the park requires advance permits, and visitors should plan trips during the April to October window for better wildlife viewing. Timing your visit around these months helps you see more of the resident and visiting animals.

The park hosts over 100 bird species from different families, including year-round residents and seasonal visitors. This rich diversity makes it a notable destination for bird watchers exploring the region.
