Beijing World Park, Miniature park in Fengtai District, China
Beijing World Park is an urban park spanning roughly 47 hectares that displays more than 100 detailed replicas of famous landmarks from around the globe. The miniature structures are organized by continent with artificial waterways in between representing the world's oceans.
The park opened on October 25, 1993, introducing China to the concept of a miniaturized world attraction that allowed visitors to see landmark reproductions in one place. It became one of the early examples of this type of themed park in the country.
The park recreates international neighborhoods where you can stroll past Italian storefronts, dine at German restaurants, and browse Swiss shops, each area reflecting the distinct character of its source region.
The park is accessible during daylight hours for leisurely walks through its various zones representing different continents. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended as you will need time to move between the different regions.
The replica of Red Square was constructed using approximately five million small bricks, demonstrating the level of craftsmanship invested in each miniature. Every scaled structure throughout the park was built with similar attention to recreate the originals as faithfully as possible.
