Zhujiajiao, Water town in Qingpu District, Shanghai, China.

The town extends across a network of waterways with 36 stone bridges connecting ancient buildings along narrow streets and riverbanks.

Established 1,700 years ago, Zhujiajiao developed into a commercial center during the Ming Dynasty through clothing and rice trade activities.

Traditional buildings include a Qing Dynasty post office, rice shops, spice stores, and banks that reflect the economic activities of past residents.

Visitors can reach Zhujiajiao directly through Line 17 of the Shanghai Metro, with the station located within walking distance of the old town.

The Fangsheng Bridge, constructed in 1571, stands as Shanghai's largest and longest five-arch stone bridge crossing the central waterway.
