Shanghai Daguan Yuan

Shanghai Daguan Yuan spans 90,000 square meters along Dianshan Lake, featuring stone bridges, lotus ponds, and traditional Chinese pavilions throughout its grounds.

The park, established in 1988, incorporates architectural elements and garden designs from the Ming and Qing dynasties within its extensive landscaping.

The garden's layout draws direct inspiration from the classical Chinese novel 'Dream of Red Mansions', with wax figures depicting key scenes from the narrative.

Located 11 kilometers from Zhouzhuang ancient town, the park offers tea services in the Daguan Building, though visitors should bring their own food supplies.

Within the grounds, visitors can explore replicas of character residences including Jia Baoyu's Yihongyuan and Lin Daiyu's Xiangxiang Pavilion from the novel.
