Zhongyue temple

The temple complex spans over 100,000 square meters and contains more than 400 buildings, including halls, pavilions, gates, and towers throughout the grounds.

Established during the Qin Dynasty as Taishi Temple, the structure underwent major expansions under Emperor Wudi of the Western Han Dynasty and later reconstructions.

The temple holds traditional fairs every tenth day of the third lunar month in spring and autumn, featuring ceremonies and activities that last for ten days.

The temple complex extends 13 li from the Zhonghua Gate entrance, with the Junji Hall measuring 20 meters in height and covering 920 square meters.

Four iron statues known as the Guards of the Warehouse, cast during the Song Dynasty, stand at 3 meters tall inside the Gushen Warehouse.
