Mausoleum des Königs von Zhongshan in Pingshan

The archaeological complex contains multiple tombs and structures spread across a large area in Hebei Province, featuring traditional Chinese architectural elements.

Constructed around 310 BC during the Warring States period, this mausoleum served as the final resting place for King Cuo of the Zhongshan kingdom.

The site reveals extensive information about burial practices and architectural techniques from the Eastern Zhou Dynasty through its layout and discovered artifacts.

Visitors can explore the excavation areas, examine historical artifacts, and learn about ancient Chinese construction methods through guided tours and informational displays.

The excavation yielded over 19,000 artifacts, including three bronze vessels containing more than 1,000 characters documenting the history of Zhongshan.
