Cape D'Aguilar, Marine reserve and lighthouse at Southern District, Hong Kong.

The coastline of Cape D'Aguilar features steep cliffs, rocky formations, and natural caves shaped by centuries of maritime erosion.

The cape received its name from Major-General George Charles d'Aguilar and houses Hong Kong's oldest surviving lighthouse, constructed in the mid-19th century.

The site contains the preserved skeleton of a fin whale discovered in Victoria Harbour in 1955, displayed at the Marine Science Institute.

Visitors can access the cape via an 8-kilometer coastal trail that starts from Shek O Road and leads to multiple observation points.

Thunder Cave produces strong echoing sounds when waves crash against its walls, while Crab Cave displays a natural formation resembling crustacean claws.
