Chongqing Zoo, Animal park in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, China
The facility extends over 45 hectares of land with dedicated sections including Tiger Hill, Bear Hill, Gorilla House, Deer Park, and Kangaroo Park.
The establishment of Chongqing Zoo began in 1953, with its gates opening to visitors in 1955 as a public institution for animal conservation.
The zoo maintains an educational science classroom where children between 3 and 12 years old participate in animal-related activities and learning programs.
Visitors can access the zoo through the Zoo Station on Line 2 of the Chongqing Rail Transit system, with entrance fees of 25 CNY from January to November.
The Panda House features natural elements such as hills, rocks, caves, streams, and waterfalls to replicate the native habitat of giant pandas.
