Chongqing Poly Tower stands at the junction of Linjiangmen and Minsheng Road in Jiefangbei, on a 11,831-square-metre site once occupied by the Chongqing Hotel. The tower holds offices, hotel rooms and retail space, and its side is shaped like a raised thumb. It was topped out on 18 June 2010 and completed in 2013.
Construction began on 17 June 2007 at the site of the former Chongqing Hotel, developed by Chongqing Hotel Co. under Chongqing Tourism Holding Group with Chongqing Dingrui Real Estate of the Poly Group. The tower topped out on 18 June 2010 and was completed in 2013.
