The museum opened in October 2013 in the former Chongqing Academy of Painting building, marking a new chapter in the city's cultural infrastructure.
The facility presents a range of artistic expressions through 25 glass houses, each covering 100 square meters with large windows for individual artist exhibitions.
Located at 1 Linjiang Road in Yuzhong District, the museum offers free admission and can be reached via Linjiangmen station on Line 2.
The building features an interwoven pattern of red and black beams, with red beams running north-south and black beams running east-west.
