Chongqing Art Gallery

The Chongqing Art Gallery is an art museum in Yuzhong with four exhibition halls displaying traditional Chinese paintings, oil works, prints, and sculptures. The spaces are designed to present different artworks and forms of expression side by side.

The museum developed from the former Chongqing Academy of Painting and opened to the public in 2013. This transformation of an art academy into a public museum made artistic collections accessible to many visitors.

The building's exterior features interwoven red and black beams running in different directions. This design draws from traditional Chinese patterns and creates a visual link between architecture and cultural tradition.
