Chongqing Grand Theatre

Chongqing Grand Theatre is a modern theater building in the Jiangbeizui business district with a distinctive glass and stone design. The structure sits on a rocky headland near the Yangtze River and combines a large main auditorium with 1,826 seats plus a second hall with 938 seats.

Construction began in 2005 and finished in 2009, marking an important milestone for performing arts in the city. The completed building created a state-of-the-art venue that transformed the region's cultural landscape.

The building houses two concert halls where operas, ballets, and musical performances take place regularly. Visitors can experience a range of artistic presentations designed for both large ensembles and smaller chamber music groups.
