The Munigou Valley extends across 160 square kilometers at an elevation of 2800 meters, featuring lakes, waterfalls, and mountain meadows throughout the landscape.

The establishment of Mounihousi Temple in 1663 marked the beginning of recorded human presence in the valley, introducing Tibetan Buddhist practices to the region.

The valley contains numerous Tibetan Buddhist monuments and structures, reflecting the spiritual traditions of local communities who have inhabited this area for generations.

Visitors can access the valley through regular bus services from Chengdu, with accommodations ranging from basic guesthouses to established hotels near major attractions.

The Zhaga Waterfall, measuring 93.2 meters in height and 35 meters in width, stands as China's largest travertine waterfall formation.
