Site of the former Fu Jen Catholic University, Historic mansion complex in Xicheng District, Beijing, China
The former university site features a two-story brick and concrete building with a three-story entrance gate, round houses, and extensive outer walls made from rubbing bricks.
The mansion belonged to Prince Yu, the fifth son of Emperor Kangxi, before becoming the residence of Zai Tao and later transforming into Fu Jen Catholic University.
The buildings completed in 1930 demonstrate an architectural combination of Chinese design elements, including emerald glazed roofs, with Western construction methods and materials.
Located at Number 1 Dingfu Street near Songshu Street, the site maintains municipal protection status as a key historical and cultural destination in Beijing.
The main entrance displays a white marble archway with a central cross, flanked by corner turrets and traditional Chinese architectural features.
