Lung Hang Estate, Public housing complex in Sha Tin District, Hong Kong.
Lung Hang Estate is a housing complex made up of six residential blocks with around 4,000 apartments in Sha Tin District. The buildings sit between neighboring estates in the Tai Wai area and offer both rental and ownership housing options.
The estate was completed in two phases in 1983 and 1985 as part of the development plan for Sha Tin New Town. It was built to meet the housing demand that grew as the area expanded.
Residents shape the neighborhood through daily activities in shared spaces, where neighbors meet and local networks form naturally. These gathering areas reflect how people live together in a densely populated housing community.
The estate is easily reached by public transportation with several entry points around the property. You will find basic shops and services scattered throughout for daily needs.
All six residential blocks end with 'Sam House' and carry names like Wing, Hok, and Lok, giving each building its own identity. This naming scheme makes it easier for residents and visitors to navigate the grounds.
