Zhejiang International Circuit, Chinese race track
Zhejiang International Circuit is a racing track in Shaoxing, China, spanning about 3.2 kilometers (2 miles) with sixteen turns including hairpins and chicanes. The gently rolling terrain combined with modern facilities for teams and spectators creates a challenging racing venue.
The track opened in 2016 after approximately three years of construction, designed by Apex Circuit Design. It quickly established itself as a major venue for professional motorsport series in China.
The name reflects its location in the Zhejiang region of China. Local and international racing fans gather here to watch motorsport events and experience drivers competing from different countries.
The venue is accessible by bus connections from Hangzhou, with the nearest major airport about an hour away. When visiting, allow plenty of time to explore the modern facilities and view the track from different vantage points.
Xu Jia and Dries Vanthoor hold the lap record at just over one minute and twenty-six seconds in an Audi R8 LMS GT3. This speedy time demonstrates how demanding and competitive the venue is for elite racing drivers.
