定慧寺, Buddhist temple in Zhenjiang, China

The temple stands on 48 acres of land with multiple halls and pavilions, including the Four Heavenly Kings Hall and Mahavira Hall containing Buddhist statues.

Established between 323 and 325 CE during the Eastern Jin dynasty, the temple experienced several name changes and underwent reconstruction after damages in 1948.

The temple holds numerous artifacts including an ancient Zhou Dynasty tripod, the jade belt of Su Shi, and the war drum of Liang Hongyu.

Visitors can climb the Furong Tower, which reaches 19 meters in height and provides views of Jinshan Mountain and surrounding landscapes.

The temple walls display a distinctive yellow color, traditionally reserved for imperial structures, marking its status as a royal religious institution.
