Wan'an Bridge, Wooden arch bridge in Pingnan County, Fujian, China.
The bridge extended 98.2 meters in length and 4.7 meters in width, featuring five piers, six holes, and 38 corridor houses along its span.
Constructed during the Song Dynasty in the 11th century, the bridge underwent multiple reconstructions, including major rebuilding efforts in 1742 following a fire in 1708.
The structure represented traditional Chinese engineering methods, using Chinese fir logs and yellow beams to create its distinctive arch formation.
The bridge connected communities across the region until August 2022, when a fire caused its collapse, prompting officials to initiate restoration plans.
Prior to its destruction, this structure held the title of China's longest existing wooden arch bridge, incorporating 38 covered corridor houses across its span.
