Changguangxi Wetland Park

Changguangxi Wetland Park is a natural area in Wuxi that covers 375 hectares with water channels, lotus ponds, and wetland zones connected throughout the site. The park sits at the base of Junzhang Hill and contains diverse plant life across its interconnected landscape.

A waterway within the park connecting two lakes has origins tracing back more than 1,700 years to ancient times. This water link demonstrates the region's long history of managing water systems for both practical and environmental purposes.

The park serves as a place where visitors connect with nature and learn about wetland ecosystems through hands-on engagement. Local communities use the spaces for nature observation and environmental awareness activities throughout the year.

The park is accessible by multiple bus routes and requires about three hours to explore thoroughly from one end to the other. Well-maintained paths and bridges connect the different wetland sections throughout the site.

The site features one of the longest covered bridges in the city, a structure that many visitors overlook when exploring the park. This bridge spanning East Lihu Lake serves as a notable architectural element within the landscape.
