Möckern

Möckern is a municipality in Jerichower Land with residential areas, farmland, and natural spaces distributed across its territory. The municipality contains dozens of districts and settlements connected through local roads and administrative centers.

The settlement has roots dating to the 7th century with Slavic origins, with its name reflecting the marshland environment near the Ehle River. The modern municipality took its current form through territorial expansions and municipal consolidations in the early 2000s.
