Landshut

Landshut district is an administrative area in Lower Bavaria featuring multiple municipalities centered around Landshut city. The territory encompasses different-sized communities spread across a river valley landscape.

The area was established in 1862 and underwent major reorganization in 1972 through a merger of separate administrative regions. This restructuring brought neighboring units together into the current configuration.
