James Simon Gallery, Museum entrance building at Museum Island, Germany

The James Simon Gallery spans 10900 square meters with white concrete columns and glass facades connecting different sections of Museum Island in Berlin.

The structure stands on the former location of Karl Friedrich Schinkel's Packhof building, which remained at this spot until its demolition in 1938.

The gallery bears the name of Henri James Simon, a German art collector who donated numerous valuable artifacts to the Berlin State Museums.

The facility includes a 300-seat auditorium, temporary exhibition areas, ticket counters, information centers, shops, restaurants, and direct access to the Pergamon Museum.

The building features 70 concrete columns measuring nine meters in height but only 30 centimeters in thickness, creating a modern interpretation of classical architecture.
