Morgenstelle, Scientific campus district in Tübingen, Germany
Morgenstelle is a research campus in Tübingen housing the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty institutes and educational buildings of the university. The site sits at about 450 meters above ground level and brings several departments together in one location.
During the 1960s the university moved its research institutes from downtown Tübingen to the Morgenstelle location. This relocation allowed the institution to consolidate its science departments in one dedicated area.
Art installations by German artists like Helga Janzen-Allgeier and Günther Uecker are integrated throughout the buildings and spaces. These works create a bridge between scientific research and creative expression in the campus environment.
The area is accessible by public transportation with the nearest station at BG Unfallklinik. The campus can also be reached on foot from the train station if you are willing to walk uphill.
A botanical garden on the grounds holds a collection of thousands of plant species for research purposes. This garden offers visitors a chance to walk through natural surroundings while exploring the scientific campus.
